Amy Romero is an Afro-Latina dancer, actor, singer, and model born in New Jersey. She started dancing at the age of 5 after her mother enrolled her in dance classes at a local dance studio where she danced until her junior year of high school.  After graduating, she went on to Rutgers University where she received a Bachelor's in Psychology and a Master's in Early Childhood/Elementary Education. Amy started teaching in the NJ public school system all while still training as a dancer and later attending Montclair State University where she received her second Master's in Reading with a Reading Specialist Certificate.

Though Amy loved teaching, something was missing; she would make a very bold decision that would challenge the security of teaching vs. her passion for performing. In 2017, Amy resigned from teaching to pursue a life in the arts, where she began seeing success relatively quickly, gaining the attention of New York Casting directors for her dancing ability, and she began getting offers to perform professionally.

Her stage credits include: Legally Blonde Non-Union National Tour, The Wiz, Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood Live National Tour, Thoughts of a Colored Man workshop performances and performances with Okra Dance Company. She's also been seen on the Today Show in Channing Tatum's Magic Mike Flash Mob. Amy also  tours with R&B music legend Lisa Lisa and has been seen in music videos such as Rob Thomas' "Trust You."
